THE FILM THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING

Love in Reel Time Films began with a moment no one was expecting.

I have spent more than two decades creating wedding experiences as a professional event host. Most weekends, I am leading the celebration from behind the DJ booth. On days when I am not hosting my own event, I often assist one of my close friends and fellow entertainers.

During one of those weddings, I decided to do something different.

Without telling my friend, I began capturing moments throughout the day. The emotion. The laughter. The people. The energy in the room.

I quietly edited everything into a film and handed it to him with more than two hours remaining in the reception.

Then I waited.

And waited.

The dance floor was packed, the energy was high, and my friend did not want to interrupt it. As a DJ, I completely understood. When a room is moving, you are trained to protect that energy.

But when the final song ended, I decided to put the film on our screen.

Within moments, the room changed.

Guests stopped dancing and turned toward the screen. People gathered together, completely captivated by moments they had experienced only hours earlier and others they had never seen.

The energy had not disappeared. It had transformed.

When the film ended, my friend apologized. He told me he had no idea what I created would be that special.

That was the moment I understood the true power of this experience.

There will always be conversations about cameras, equipment, formats, and how professionals should capture content. Those things matter, but they are not what people remember most.

What matters is how a film makes them feel.

Reliving the most meaningful moments of your celebration before the night is over creates an emotion traditional delivery simply cannot recreate. Sharing that experience with everyone you love makes it even more powerful.

That night became the inspiration for Love in Reel Time Films and what we now call Reel-Time Cinematography.
